Meet the Coaches

Johnni Zabka, Meredith Reece, Brittany Kladiva LaManna

The Coaches of the St. Charles East Colorguard have over 20 years of combined experience. They work together to provide the best possible experience for the team members.

Farewell to Johnni Zabka, recently retired Head Coach - Congratulations to Coach Zabka for her retirement after 14 years of dedication and service to the Colorguard. The Varsity Colorguard won IDTA State Titles from 2002-2010 under the direction and choreography of Coach Zabka. Coach Zabka was also inducted into the IDTA Hall of Fame this year, 2010.  Coach Zabka wishes the Colorguard the best of luck as they continue with their new Head Coach, Brittany LaManna.

Congratulations to Brittany Kladiva LaManna, the new Head Coach - Coach LaManna was a member of the Colorguard at STCE when Coach Zabka began coaching in 1996, and was a member of the 1998 team that went to State for the first time. She was also Captain of the Colorguard 1997-1998. Coach LaManna started Coaching at STCE with the JV in 2005. She helped them to set record scores with their routines, earning their way to the JV Finals and winning their events.

Meredith Reece, JV Coach (2009-2010) - Coach Reece was a member of the Colorguard 1998-2002. She was the Varsity Captain her Junior and Senior year. And was Captain of the team that won State for the first time! Upon graduation she competed during the summer with the Pioneers (DCI), and was a featured member of their guard. During the Fall/Winter she coached the JV Colorguard at STCE from 2002-2005. Coach Reece is back with us this year and looks forward to a great season.
